The Unleash Your Awesome launch party

I had an amazing time at the launch party for my book ‘Unleash Your Awesome’.

I was fortunate to celebrate the event with a fabulous bunch of friends, family, and colleagues, who have supported, challenged, and encouraged me through the ups and downs of writing. And I wanted to share a few shots of the night with you. We certainly celebrated in style!

If you haven’t already done so, you can pick up your copy of ‘Unleash Your Awesome’ here – it’s available in paperback or on Kindle.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the fun we had at the launch party. It also just happened to be my birthday, so it was an extra-special night for me 😊

About the launch party venue

I held my launch at Everybody Eats, a social restaurant in Onehunga, Auckland.

Everybody Eats holds a special place in my heart, because not only is it a very cool spot in my local community, but the work the EE team does is absolutely amazing. They feed anyone who turns up a 3-course, chef-prepared dinner in a friendly and welcoming restaurant environment, using top-notch food that was otherwise destined for landfill.

It operates on a pay-as-you-feel basis – if you can’t pay anything, you still get to eat. If you can afford to pay, you can pay as much or as little as you are able to, and your generosity contributes to the cost of someone else’s meal.

And it doesn’t matter if you don’t have anyone to dine with – you’re welcomed in, given a seat at the table, and you get to meet and share a meal with some wonderful people.

Everybody Eats tackles three key issues: food waste, food poverty, and social isolation. They run restaurants in Auckland and Wellington – if you’re in the ‘hood, why not give them a go? And if you live outside these areas, I encourage you to seek out similar organisations – they are doing so much good in their communities.
